Passamaquoddy Days

It’s been a tradition to celebrate our Tribal dances, drumming, and crafts. The Passamaquoddy Tribal celebration is always the second weekend in August. We begin on Thursday with the Annual Ancestors Paddle that leaves from the Indian Township bridge around 7 am in the morning. They retrace the ancestral route that connects our two communities through water ways. All those that go will camp out at Devil’s Head and continue on Friday morning around 7 am. Their arrival kicks off our weekend. We then have several activities throughout the weekend with the big event on Sunday beginning at 1 pm. There is drumming, dancing, and honoring’s for our Past, Present, and Future Tribal members.
